CARD has a heritage of working with others to implement projects of relief and care. Here are a taste of four recent projects: –
- Increased Food Security and Sustainable Livelihoods for Poor and Marginalized Households in Western Bahr el Ghazal State South Sudan.
The project was funded by European Union -EU for 3years.
Outcome of project activities.
- 32 PCS of Ox-plough distributed to Farmers
- 64 Farmers trained and used Ox-plough farming technology
- Formation of local project steering committee in project locations
- 95 Women headed Household trained and issue with Cassva cutting for mutiplication
- 2033 Women headed Household trained in growing vegetable production to eaned more income
- 2000PCS of local hoes distributed to Households
- 2000 rakes purchesd and distributed to households
- 2000 axe purchese and distribuuted to households
- Water Project: Communities Gain Access to Clean Drinking Water.
Funded by Anglican Relief Development Funds implemented in Athor, Kirik and Gak, Warrap State.
Outcome of project activities.
- Drilled three boreholes construct concert platform
- install hands pumps India Mark 2 or extra India Mark 2 extract deep plus;
- Formation and training water management Committee in the village.
- Increased Food & Nutrition Security and Sustainable Livelihoods for poor and marginalize Households in WBS South Sudan.
The project was funded by CORDAID for 1 year.
Outcome of project activities
- Distribution of Seeds & tools to the farmers.
- Farmer group formation and training in horticulture vegetable production;
- farmer training in Animal traction,
- Staple crop production,
- Pest and disease control (environmental-friendly)
- Emergency Relief Response project
